About Me
BORN: 20th OCTOBER 1980, Ascot, Berkshire.
"I was brought up in Surrey on a smallholding, where my parents kept and bred goats. We had a small pony, dogs (two Irish setters), cats, chickens and briefly some ducks. When I was about 8 we acquired a second pony for me and my sister, and kept her in the garden where we had kept our previous pony which was now out on loan. A couple of years later we acquired more horses and moved them to a yard on a mixed arable and dairy farm in Ascot. Here I absorbed some knowledge about cattle, including handling newborn and weaned calves. At the age of about 14/15 I started riding more seriously, riding in the Pony Club area dressage team, then gave up to concentrate on A-levels and university."
"My mum taught me to milk the goats, and we bred from them every year. We kept the nannies and had the billies slaughtered, usually keeping and freezing the meat. Our second pony was shared between me and my sister, and we had to muck out every morning before school."
"At secondary school I played a lot of music and was very keen on drama and acting, taking singing lessons and doing grades 1-8. In the sixth form I did an associate diploma in group acting and theatre studies with the Victoria College of Music. I considered going to music college to continue singing, but decided against it in favour of keeping singing as a hobby."
